24v Single Blower Motor Assemblies for Vehicle HVAC Applications

Ideal for smaller buses and construction machines where the CFM requirements are relatively low, and space is at a premium. Compact, robust and powerful these 24v single blower motor modules come as a complete assembly. All apart from the 001 casing blowers come with an AMP connector. The range we are offering are mostly D-Type (clockwise rotation) offering airflow (peak) from 236-572 CFM whilst drawing 2.5 amps to just under 15amps. All 24v single blower motor modules come with an AMP connector except for the 001 single speed blowers which come with the standard SPAL connector and wire harness. A waterproof PKSL Connector (AA-LC-001) is available separately, if required....continue reading.

Please ensure you are selecting a blower with voltage rating that matches your vehicle's electrical power supply and note the 'D' and 'S' SPAL Type suffixes that indicate air flow direction

What are the advantages of using 24v blower motors?

Being 24v means that it can offer roughly the same power but drawing less current than 12v versions.

Can these SPAL blower motors be run at different speeds? Is the resistor included?

These blowers are either single speed or 3 speeds. For 3 speeds, speed control resistor is included - allowing low, medium and high speed operation and could be connected to any switch that can handle the current draw of the blower.

When would I use two single motor blowers rather than just one twin one?

With its compact dimensions, single blower motor modules are often used in pairs when the air conditioning compartment is too crowded to install a double blower motor assembly. Suitable for vehicles with 24v electric systems including buses, coaches, construction/plant machinery and other industrial applications.

Why does one of the single wheel 008 casing models have an external motor?

The 008 model is especially interesting giving over 236 CFM whilst drawing only 2.5 amps - this was achieved using a larger motor external to the blower wheel housing.
